iHeart Names a Pair of Programming SVPs

Also promotes Norden to SVP of sales

Tim “Minnesota Fattz” Snell

iHeartMedia has announced a trio of new senior vice presidents: two programming execs and one salesman.

Tim “Minnesota Fattz” Snell has been named the senior vice president of programming for iHeartMedia Augusta.

Snell is one half of the “Fattz and Cher Morning Show” on WKSP(FM) and the program director for the iHeartMedia Augusta urban brands, urban adult contemporary, WKSP and WPRW(FM). He will be responsible for day to-day programming operations for six multi-formatted brands.

iHeartMedia Augusta owns and operates WBBQ(FM), WKSP, WLUB(FM/HD2), WPRW and WEKL(FM).

Rob Scorpio has been named senior vice president of programming for the San Diego/Riverside region, and Kid Jay has been named PD of KGGI(FM) in Riverside.

Currently, Scorpio oversees iHeartRadio’s six stations in Riverside/San Bernardino, while also acting as program director of KSSX(FM) in San Diego and KGGI in Riverside. In his new role, he will oversee both markets, working with the programming, digital and promotion.

Scorpio has more than 15 years of industry experience. As SVP of programming for iHeartMedia’s Riverside/San Bernardino operation, he managed multiple formats. Prior to joining iHeartMedia in 2013, Scorpio worked as a media consultant and served as operations manager in Washington, and VP of programming in Los Angeles, for various radio groups. Scorpio has also programmed stations in Washington, Los Angeles and Houston.

Kid Jay has worked as a professional club and concert DJ. He joined KGGI in 2003 and is currently the station’s nighttime host. He will continue his on-air role at KGGI while also assuming day-to-day programming operations of the station.

iHeartMedia owns and operates KGB(FM), KHTS(FM), KIOZ(FM), KLSD(AM), KMYI(FM), KOGO(AM), KSSX in San Diego and KFNY(AM), KGGI, KKDD(FM), KMYT(FM), KTDD(AM), KTMQ(FM) in Riverside.

Pete Norden has been named area senior vice president of sales for iHeartMedia Tampa.

He will lead the sales team to create unique marketing opportunities. Norden has been with iHeartMedia for more than 19 years, most recently serving as the market president in Sarasota for the past nine years.

iHeartMedia Tampa includes WFLZ(FM), WFUS(FM), WBTP(FM), WMTX(FM), WXTB(FM), WRUB(FM), WFLA(AM), WDAE(AM), WHNZ(AM) and WMTX(FM/HD2).
