Ryan Petrosso has been promoted to senior vice president of sales for iHeartMedia’s Charlotte, N.C., market. He was named general sales manager for iHeartMedia Charlotte in 2015.
He will have oversight over WKKT(FM), WHQC(FM), WRFX(FM), WLKO(FM) and WEND(FM).
Petrosso began his radio career in 2004 at iHeartMedia’s Providence, R.I., market, where he rose from account executive to general sales manager.
Also, Michael Saunders has been named program director for KQBT(FM) in Houston. He will also serve as urban brand coordinator for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group.
As PD, Saunders will work with on-air personalities and sales to oversee on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. As urban brand coordinator, he will serve on iHeartMedia’s Urban Brand Management Team, which provides guidance to the company’s urban music brands.
Saunders joins iHeartMedia Houston from WCFB(FM) in Orlando, where he has been PD for five years. He also previously served as VP of programming for iHeartMedia Detroit and PD for iHeartMedia’s WWPR(FM)/Power 105.1 in New York City. He has also served as operations manager for CBS Radio’s Washington market; PD for WJHM(FM) in Orlando; VP of client services for the Left Bank Organization in Los Angeles; and operations manager/PD for WPEG(FM), WBAV(FM) and WGIV(AM) in Charlotte. He began his radio career as an on-air personality for WGCD(AM) in Chester, S.C., his hometown.

Sheridan previously worked as a general sales manager and director of sales for E.W. Scripps. He was with the company for over 25 years.
