iHeartMedia Announces Market Leadership Changes

Changes in Chicago and Atlanta

IHeartMedia has announced that Earl Jones has been named senior vice president of Urban Operations. In addition, the company says Matt Scarano has been named market president of iHeartMedia Chicago. The company also announced that Justin Schaflander has been named market president for Atlanta, and Jason Mosher has been named vice president of sales, effective immediately.

Jones will be based in Chicago and will report to iHeartMedia President of National Sales Jeff Howard.

He served as market president for the iHeartMedia Chicago cluster since 2005. In this new position, he will develop and implement urban sales and programming initiatives and strategies to generate revenue for the Chicago, New York, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Jacksonville and Orlando markets, as well as other stations throughout the country.

Matt Scarano will oversee all elements of Chicago’s seven-station cluster including operations, sales and programming. He will return to the Chicago market, where he first joined the company in 2009 as director of sales. In 2012 he moved to then Clear Channel Atlanta, where he has served as market president.

Justin Schaflander will oversee iHeartMedia Atlanta’s six-station cluster. He has been promoted from within the market, where he most recently served as VP of sales. He has been with Clear Channel/iHeartMedia Atlanta for seven years, with prior roles as director of sales for the Atlanta Braves Radio Network and was the general sales manager working with Georgia News Network and Total Traffic and Weather Network.

Jason Mosher was also promoted from within iHeartMedia Atlanta, where he previously served as general sales manager for WUBL and WGST as well as Total Traffic and Weather Network. He has been with the company in Atlanta for six years.
