iHeartMedia Orlando says three of its programmers have been promoted. Also, iHeartMedia Richmond announced Chuck “DZL” Thompson has been named program director and midday host for XL102, and iHeartMedia Chicago has named Johnnie D program director of WGCI(FM).
Brian Mack has been named the new program director for WMGF(FM) in Orlando, Fla. In addition, Mack will become the vice president of branding for iHeartMedia Orlando, a newly created role. He will continue to serve as the program director for WXXL(FM).
Jack Bradshaw was named the program director for WYGM(AM) in Orlando. He will continue to oversee the programming for WTKS(FM).
Dwight “D-Strong” Ricketts has been named program director for WTKS(HD2) and will continue to serve as afternoon drive host.

In Richmond, Va., Chuck Thompson is the new PD and midday host at WRXL/XL102. He has two decades of experience in the radio industry, most recently spending eight years as assistant program director/music director and afternoon host for WEND(FM) in Charlotte, N.C. His background also includes programming and promotions positions in Rochester, N.Y., Columbia, S.C., Atlanta and Canton, Ga.
iHeartMedia Richmond owns and operates WTVR(FM), WBTJ(FM), WRVQ(FM), WRVA(AM), WRXL(FM), WRNL(AM), WRXL(HD), W241AP and VNN.
WGCI’s new program director, Johnnie D, most recently served as the assistant program director of WGCI(FM) and WVAZ(FM), also in Chicago. Prior to joining iHeartMedia, he was the music director and executive morning show producer of “The Ryan Cameron Morning Show with Wanda Smith” at WVEE(FM) in Atlanta. He has also held programming positions at WPGC(FM) in Washington, WQHT(FM) in New York, WPWX(FM) in Chicago and WPHI(FM) in Philadelphia.
