IHeartMedia’s Fresno, Calif., cluster has made two management changes recently. Steve Weed was named operations manager, and Ricardo “Gonzo” Otero was selected as the ops manager for La Preciosa Network and as the programming director for Fresno’s KFSO(FM).

Weed will oversee all aspects of iHeartMedia Fresno’s eight stations’ operations.

He previously served as operations manager for the Fresno cluster in 2010 and then in 2011 became ops manager for iHeartMedia Sacramento. His experience includes past roles as a media brand manager and broadcast programmer in key major markets such as Detroit, Seattle and St. Louis for Entercom, Bonneville Broadcasting and EZ Communications. He also worked as an on-air personality in New York City and Los Angeles.

“During his first tour of duty in Fresno, Steve Weed brought creativity and a programming professionalism that resulted in a high performance for our products,” said Regional Market Manager Jeff Negrete.

As operations manager, Otero will oversee all aspects of La Preciosa Network, which provides Spanish music, programming and content to multiple stations throughout the country. In addition, as PD he will manage all programming operations for KFSO(FM) La Preciosa 92.9 in Fresno. His experience also includes past roles as PD for ESPN Deportes 97.5 and WNUA(FM), where he supervised Mega 95.5’s rebrand to El Patrón 95.5 in 2012. His career also includes several years in the Hispanic radio industry in México and the U.S., working for companies such as MVS Radio, Uniradio and Univision.
