iHeartMedia Tampa Bay announced that Brian “Munchie” Donovan was named director of digital, effective July 1, 2016. iHeartMedia’s Central Texas region announced it promoted Callie Hoch to regional digital program director, and Travis Hill to director of marketing and promotions.
The announcement stated that Donovan will work closely with the programming staff and talent for the region’s 10 brands.
“This is a welcome return to Tampa for Brian; he has 93.3 FLZ in his blood,” said Sam Nein, president of the Tampa Bay region for iHeartMedia. “He has a proven track record across multiple cities, and we’re excited for Brian’s expertise to make a positive impact on our digital strategy.”
Donovan has more than 20 years of experience in the radio industry, most recently serving as director of digital for iHeartMedia Hartford and afternoon drive time on-air personality for WKSS(FM)/KISS 95.7, according to the announcement. He previously served as the co-host for The Kane Show on iHeartMedia Tampa’s WFLZ(FM)/93.3 FLZ and the night show host for WVKS(FM) in Toledo, Ohio. Donovan began his career in 1996 as the night show producer for 93.3 FLZ.
Travis Hill “I had an amazing run with iHeartMedia Hartford and learned a lot thanks to the great leadership,” said Donovan. “I couldn’t be more excited to get back to where I caught the radio bug and take the digital efforts of the iHeartMedia Tampa to the next level.”
In the central Texas region, which includes Austin and San Antonio, Hoch and Hill will split their time between the cities.
As the regional digital program director for the Central Texas region, Hoch oversees the digital strategy for the region’s 15 brands, including their websites, social media, mobile and online presence for on-air personalities. Hoch was most recently the director of marketing for iHeartMedia San Antonio’s nine brands.
Hill is now the director of marketing and promotions for the Central Texas region. Previously, he served as the director of marketing and promotions for iHeartMedia Austin.
