iHeartMedia Taps Banks for Director of Talent for Central Division

San Antonio/Houston extends agreement with Pagliarulo

Tony Banks has been named director of talent development for iHeartMedia’s Central Division. He will work with Executive Vice President of Programming for the Central Division Tony Coles and Vice President of Talent Development Dennis Clark.

“The role we created for Tony Banks reflects iHeartMedia’s continued commitment to investing in and growing our on air talent,” said Coles.

The Central Division includes brands and franchises encompassing more than 300 radio station brands spanning 52 markets

iHeartMedia San Antonio and iHeartMedia Houston also announced the extension of their agreement with Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo. Pags currently hosts “The Joe Pags Show,” which airs weekdays from 5–8 p.m. (CST) and is syndicated nationwide with WOAI(AM) in San Antonio as the flagship station. He will also continue to serve as a lead on-air personality for WOAI and will be on during afternoon drive in San Antonio and on KPRC(AM) in Houston.

“He’s able to bring the community together with his unique take on the latest news, and we’re excited to extend our partnership with him,” said Central Division President Matt Martin. 

iHeartMedia San Antonio owns and operates KRPT(FM), KXXM(FM), KAJA(FM), KQXT(FM), KZEP(FM), KZEP(HD), KQXT(HD), KTKR(AM) and WOAI.
