iHeartMedia Taps EVP of Global Music Marketing

Also names iHeartCountry brand coordinator, market president

iHeartMedia has named Alissa Pollack as executive vice president of global music marketing. In addition, Gator Harrison will now serve as brand coordinator for iHeartCountry in addition to his duties as senior vice president of programming for Chattanooga and program director of WUSY(FM), and Nicky Sparrow has been named market president for the Jacksonville, Fla., stations.

Pollack will head a new initiative that will focus on leveraging iHeartMedia’s pool of listener data along with music and consumer insights to benefit advertising partners, brands and artists and deliver even more value on air, online, on mobile, social and through live events.

According to a release, she will consult with brands and artists and provide them with music data, including listening trend reports and custom insights that will better inform their decision-making. In addition, she will collaborate with Premiere Networks, the iHeartRadio Digital team and the iHeartMedia National Programming Group to coordinate programs across all platforms, including Premiere Network’s affiliates and through iHeartRadio’s international broadcast partnerships.

Pollack began her career at New York’s WHTZ/Z100, producing the nationally syndicated show “Love Phones.” Soon after, she joined Premiere Networks as regional marketing director. Pollack eventually became the EVP of integrated media marketing for Mediabase Worldwide. She developed business strategies and partnerships with major record labels, broadcast groups and other research data providers. Most recently she served as the EVP of music partner integrations for Premiere Networks, where she oversaw Mediabase sales and special programming projects.

As iHeartCountry Brand Coordinator, Gator Harrison will work with the iHeartCountry brand management team which is led by Rod Phillips.

Sparrow will be responsible for overseeing the Jacksonville market’s operations across its multiple platforms. She began her broadcast marketing career in Tupelo, Miss., in 1999. Since her time at iHeartMedia she has served in the capacity of roles including as SVP of sales in New Orleans, director of sales in Memphis, Tenn., and Tallahassee, Fla., and general sales manager in Jacksonville.

iHeartMedia Jacksonville includes WQIK(FM), WJBT(FM) and WKSL(FM), WWJK(FM), WSOL(FM), WKSL(FM), WFXJ(AM) and WKSL(HD3).
