IRF 2016 Hosts 12,000+ Visitors

Four-day festival broadcast 225 radio shows reaching a reported 100 million listeners

The International Radio Festival Milano 2016 concluded on April 10 and IRF founder Darryl von Daniken said he was “delighted with the success.”

According to Daniken, this year more than 12,000 visitors came to the public radio event, and more listened to it throughout the world.

Over the four-day festival, IRF reports that 125 radio stations and 194 radio hosts delivered 225 radio shows, totaling 170 hours of live on-air global programming. According to IRF, 100 million people around the world listened to the broadcasts.

IRF is also reporting that it has received inquiries for future IRF editions in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai. The 2017 edition of IRF Milano has already been announced to take place from April 6–9, 2017.
