Jacapps Moves Forward With App Everywhere Plan

Integrates for Connected Car in Android Auto

Mobile application developer jacapps says its V4 app platform will begin offering support for and integration of Google’s Android Auto connected car platform.

This functionality will be available as part of the company’s App Everywhere product, which addresses the reality of “technology loyalty” among consumers as related to their smartphones, according to jacapps Chief Operating Officer Bob Kernen.

This move will allow smartphone users with an Android Auto-enabled car to access apps from their car’s infotainment system because stations with jacapps’ v4 mobile apps will see their apps — and logos —featured on in-car infotainment systems alongside other audio apps.

“We have made this project a top jacapps priority, and I’m pleased we’ve had this breakthrough. We are excited that Google will accept station-branded mobile apps,” said Jacobs Media President Paul Jacobs. “Now on to Apple!”

Jacapps has developed apps for companies such as Entercom, Greater Media, Bonneville, Scripps, Emmis, Hubbard, as well as public radio and Christian radio stations.
