John McAfee to Address NAB Show

Computer antivirus pioneer to speak at the Technology Luncheon, appear on Super Session panel

In a move that will get attention, and raise some eyebrows, John McAfee, founder of computer antivirus company McAfee Associates, will address the NAB Show’s Technology Luncheon, April 15.

A release explained, “At the luncheon, McAfee will discuss his views on the ever-changing media and information technology landscape and how to manage security threats faced by companies daily. He will also share his insights based on more than 20 years of experience working with companies such as NASA, Univac, Computer Sciences Corp. and Lockheed Martin.”

McAfee will also appear on the panel for the “Protecting Our Assets: Cybersecurity and the Media” Super Session, also April 15.

NAB Chief Technology Officer Sam Matheny said, “Many companies today are grappling with serious concerns about security and privacy … Protecting valuable digital assets will be top of mind for NAB Show attendees this year, making John McAfee’s luncheon address particularly timely and relevant.”
