Klotz Digital debuted and has begun shipping its Decennium digital audio console.
The control surface is available in sizes of four, eight, 12, 16, 20 and 24 faders, and comes with two types of surface modules: a four-fader module as well as a monitor and control module, each having its separate housing.
Each channel strip of Decennium’s fader module has a 100 mm fader and an alphanumeric display with 16 digits in two lines for source name indication. Four routing buttons allow quick access to four main busses.
The company says an external voice processor or other peripheral equipment is unnecessary, as Decennium has DSP features. Fully parametric six-band equalizers and dynamics with limiter/compressor/expander can be inserted and stored in each channel.
Klotz touts the Decennium’s Multi-Purpose Control Element, which is integrated in each channel strip. It is used for source selection and channel-related parameter settings, allowing an overview and facilitating access to them. MPCE also allows each fader module to act as a single mini console without the need of a monitor or control module.
