Vijay Kumar has been named vice president of engineering for WideOrbit, the broadcast automation and business software developer.
He will work out of the company’s San Francisco offices.
Kumar comes from Vendavo, a business software developer, where he spent 10 years, most recently as senior vice president of engineering. Kumar has also been with software systems developer Borland International.
At WideOrbit Kumar will report to Will Offeman, who is being promoted to executive vice president of engineering.
Offeman commended Kumar’s experience “building enterprise solutions that automate complex business processes and deliver high-value business analytics.”
