Southern German broadcaster die neue welle recently completed a nine-day remote at the offerta 2012 consumer goods trade show in Karlsruhe.
Centerpiece of the operation was a Lawo zirkon console on-location. The remaining Lawo network and processing hardware was a few miles (eight kilometers) away back at the home studio. Remote software, connected via a microwave link, allowed for seamless remote operation.
Andrea-Alexa Kuszák, CEO of die neue welle told the supplier,“We produced the program without any safety net and even without a sound engineer in the home studio.”
In other Lawo news, the company announced that Christian Schniering is joining its North American operations in Toronto as product support manager.
