Listener Formatted Station Is No. 1

MEDIAmazing.com took the number one spot in MeasureCast’s list of top 25 Internet radio broadcasters for the week of March 5 to March 11, with a 23 percent increase in total time spent listening over the previous week.
The Internet-only Webcaster that provides listeners with the option to format their own music knocked New York talk radio powerhouse WABC(AM) out of first place for the first time since MeasureCast began its weekly Net radio ratings last December. WABC took second place in this week’s ratings. London-based adult alternative station, Virgin Radio, debuts on the MeasureCast weekly ratings in No. 3 position.
Among stations in the Top 25 list, 10 experienced an increase in TTSL, but overall TTSL for the top 24 dropped 4.2 percent for the week. Cume for the top 24 rose 2.6 percent over the previous week (Virgin Radio was excluded as it did not appear on the list the previous week).
MeasureCast also reports that Wednesday was the peak listening day, when almost 20 percent of the week’s listening occurred, while Saturday and Sunday listening accounted for just 10 percent of the week’s total.
