Live Poe for Husson

Halloween eve broadcast on school station

Students at Husson University along with the school’s WHSN(FM) radio station are working together to create a live broadcast of two Edgar Allan Poe stories for a Halloween eve live radio broadcast for the station.

Emanating from the school’s Gracie Theatre, with a live audience, this is the fourth annual live Halloween program for the Bangor, Maine, university.

The program will consist of two tales from Poe’s “Tales of Mystery and Imagination” — “The Masque of Red Death” and “The Pit and the Pendulum.” It is designed for radio broadcast, making use of Foley artists.

Early iterations have won awards from the Maine Association of Broadcasters.
