They urged prompt approval of the merger, according to an FCC filing.

In a recent meeting with FCC Commissioner Michael Copps, NAB representatives reiterated they believe the merger would create a monopoly and not be in the public interest “given the applicants’ record of violations of the commission’s rules,” according to an April 25 filing.
