Walt Lowery has joined RF Specialties of Washington in Seattle as a transmitter specialist. He most recently was regional sales manager in the Northwest for Harris Corp. and also is known to broadcast equipment buyers from stints at Symetrix, Gentner and the former Allied Broadcast Equipment.
"Among his career highlights, Walt was responsible for development of the Gentner Teleswitch, the Symetrix 610 Broadcast Delay and the Symetrix 628 Digital Voice Processor," according to a statement from RF Specialties.
He was a chief engineer for several stations in Virginia and a contributing author to the NAB Engineering Handbook. He will work with Bill Newbrough and Matt Meaney selling Nautel, Crown and Continental transmitters in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
