Measurecast Weekly Numbers Rebound

The hours Internet radio fans spent listening to online stations came back up during the week of July 8, according to Measurecast. Its Internet Radio Index for the week of July 8-14 was up 26% to its all-time high. It had dipped 4 and 15% during the two weeks prior. The index is a representation of the trend in total TSL to online stations monitored by the research company. Also, 24 of the MeasureCast Top 25 stations saw increases in hours streamed. Twenty-three of those had an increase in audience size.
Radioio, MEDIAmazing and Radio Margaritaville led the company’s Top 10 Internet-only Stations Chart. Britain’s Virgin Radio and JazzFM finished the week as the two most-listened-to Web radio stations measured by MeasureCast. They also claimed the top spots in the top 10-simulcast radio stations ranking, followed by WQXR, the radio station of The New York Times. Clear Channel Worldwide, Radio Free Virgin and Warp Radio led the MeasureCast Top 10 Internet Radio Networks Chart.
