Microspace Signs With Christian Radio for Satellite Program Delivery

The Christian Radio Consortium has chosen Microspace Communications Corporation
to deliver programming to more than 1,000 radio stations nationwide via the Microspace Velocity satellite system. Under the terms of the multi-year contract, Microspace will distribute radio programming for CRC member organizations, including Ambassador Inspirational Radio, Focus Satellite Network, Moody Broadcasting Network, Salem Radio Network, SkyLight Satellite Network, USA Radio Network and VCY America.
CRC is a partnership of organizations collaborating to develop a common solution
for distributing Christian radio programming. The group has been using a common satellite-based system for five years, having developed a standard platform used by all members.
Joe Amor, Microspace vice president and general manager states the Velocity system enables stations to broaden their programming reach without the facilities needing to invest in additional infrastructure.
Parties expect the transition to the Microspace network to be complete by March 2005.
Microspace is a privately held company with headquarters in Raleigh, N.C. It is a subsidiary of Capitol Broadcasting Company.
