Beasley Broadcast Group named Mike Sommers program director of WJBR(FM) in Wilmington, Del.
He also will serve as the afternoon drive personality. He replaces Michael Waite, who will focus more on the station’s “Michael Waite & Jill Quayle Morning Show” and his role as a community service advocate for WJBR.
Sommers was most recently program director at Philadelphia’s WBEN(FM). He had previously served as operating manager/program director at WAFL(FM), WNCX(FM) and WYUS(FM) in Dover/Milford, Del. He also was program director at WOCT(FM) in Baltimore and WSTW(FM) in Wilmington.
