Fourteen receiver or component manufacturers plan to display HD Radio products at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. Ibiquity Digital Corp. says several product categories will be represented in its booth and in partner booths: OEM, automotive, tabletop, and custom home.
Ibiquity says these manufacturing partners will have HD Radio products on display: Alpine Electronics, Audio Design Associates, Boston Acoustics, Day Sequerra, Delphi, Dension USA, Fujitsu Ten, Kenwood USA, Panasonic, Philips Consumer Electronics, Philips Semiconductors, Polk Audio, Sangean America Inc., Visteon and Yamaha Electronics Corp.
The company also plans live multicasting demos with Las Vegas stations KSTJ(FM) and KXTE(FM) and a preview of the new HD Radio retailer training site.
Ibiquity’s Robert Struble will be a panelist in a session that will explore how satellite radio and IBOC companies have “revived” radio.
CES is Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas.
