Morgan, Ferguson Now Cox EVP's

Cox Radio, the third largest radio group based on revenue, has promoted several executives. Marc Morgan and Dick Ferguson have both been promoted to executive vice president of Cox Radio, Inc. Morgan will also serve as the company’s chief operating officer. Caroline Devine, vice president and general manager of KISS(FM) and KSMG(FM) in San Antonio, has been promoted to regional vice president and will also oversee the Honolulu market.
“We’re always looking for ways to make our company management structure more efficient and these moves do just that,” said Cox President/CEO Robert Neil. “These changes also allow us to reward some of our best people with promotions and continue to offer our senior managers growth and new challenges.”
As a result of the realignment, reporting structures in a few Cox markets will change. Atlanta and Houston will report directly to Morgan while Cox’s Connecticut properties will continue to report to Ferguson.
Rich Reis, group vice president, will add Tampa to his other Florida markets of Miami, Orlando and Jacksonville, bringing all of Cox Radio’s Florida properties under combined oversight. Kim Guthrie, regional vice president and vice president and general manager of WBLI(FM), WBAB(FM) and WHFM(FM), Long Island, will add Greenville to her set of markets which includes Louisville and Dayton.
Ben Reed, regional vice president and vice president and general manager of KCYY(FM), KKYX(AM), KONO-AM/FM and KCJZ(FM) in San Antonio, will add the Birmingham market to his current oversight of Tulsa. Jay O’Connor, regional vice president, market manager-Tampa, will continue to have oversight of Cox’s Richmond radio stations.
