Music Industry Raise Payola Issue

A story in The LA Times quotes record co. execs complaining about reported payola. Now, the labels, plus other organizations including AFTRA, RIAA and the Future of Music Coalition says Congress and the FCC should look into all promotion practices for radio. Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wisc., is reportedly preparing legislation to look into how consolidation has affected radio programming and promotion.
