The new BC-2000 D multiplexer from AEQ inserts and extracts digital or analog, mono or stereo audio channels in E1/T1/J1 or Ethernet data transmission flows.
The multiplexer is part of the BC-2000 D digital audio router platform, a system able not only to transport audio but also to route, mix, edit and process it.
The audio channels handled can be linear or compressed. It is possible then to use for data transport any link capacities that are not occupied by audio.
The BC-2000 D accepts and extracts audio channels with total flexibility — they may be analog channels at the mic or line level, AES 3 and SPDIF digital channels, AES 10 MADI digital multichannels.
Configuration, control and monitoring of the system are possible via PC, with the added possibility, for example, of setting up audio-over-IP circuits for intercom use, taking advantage of the PC loudspeakers and microphone.
Applications include the transmission of commentator audio and coordination between sports venues, STLs and networks with content simultaneously produced and transmitted from different facilities.
