Internet radio listening has nearly tripled since January, despite upheavals that have wracked the streaming world this year, according to MeasureCast, which monitors the industry.
The company also says total time spent listening rose 2 percent in the second week of October, the fourth straight week of its TTSL index increasing.
In the week of Oct. 8-14, Jazzfm again finished as the top Webcaster, streaming 31,601 more hours, a 16 percent increase in TTSL, to 2,561 fewer people than it did the previous week.
In the MeasureCast Top 25 for the week, 14 streaming radio stations saw increases in their TTSL, while 17 Webcasters enjoyed larger audiences.
