Neumann Debuts Broadcast Mic Line

Neumann Debuts Broadcast Mic Line

With the release of the BCM 104, Neumann has launched a line of broadcast mics. The line is aimed at the demands of radio announcing.
The company said the BCM 104 is based on the TLM 103 studio model. The large-diaphragm condenser capsule used in the BCM 104 has a cardioid directional pattern with internally switchable proximity effect compensation.
The microphone headgrille twists off for cleaning; optional color-coded headgrilles are available to permit each announcer working at a desk to use his or her own individual headgrille if desired for hygiene reasons.
Another feature is a built-in popscreen; remove the headgrille to reveal a piece of fine gauze mounted on a frame holder.
