The second edition of the Nostalgie Beach festival, hosted by commercial broadcaster Radio Nostalgie, drew in more than 15,000 people to the Belgian seaside resort of Bredene.
The gathering offered a keen mix of 1980–1990s idols such as Cock Robin, Billy Ocean, Dr. Alban, Snap!, Nena and The Human League, which perfectly fit the Radio Nostalgie format. Hot Chocolate also performed during the event.
The event took place on Aug. 9 and Radio Nostalgie reported from the festival site with presenter Stefan Ackermans interviewing artists and audience members.
Radio Nostalgie broadcasts on 27 FM frequencies in the Flemish provinces of East and West Flanders, Antwerp, Brabant and Limburg.
The station’s on-air studios are located in Antwerp. Radio Nostalgie holds the sixth position in the Dutch-language radio ratings chart, with a market share of 6 percent.
