NPR Names New VP, ‘Chief People Officer’

Jeff Perkins to lead network's talent management strategy

NPR has expanded its executive ranks with the appointment of a vice president/chief people officer.

Jeff Perkins will lead the development of NPR’s human resources and talent management strategy, according to the network, which also says Perkins will play a central role “cultivating a constructive, supportive and effective corporate culture.”

Perkins, who begins the new job on July 6, comes to NPR from Huntbridge, Inc., a human resource and consulting firm he founded. Previously, Perkins held human resource management positions with Fox Interactive Media, AOL International, AOL, CompuServe and Netscape and Nielsen International in Europe.

Perkins reports to SVP of Strategic Operations and Finance Debra Delman.
