Okla. Licensee Surrenders License

Okla. Licensee Surrenders License

The FCC takes lack of candor – lying – very seriously. After a commission investigation into possible “lack of candor” with the agency over how much he paid for South Central Oklahoma Christian Broadcasters for the construction permit for KTSH, Tishomingo, Okla., and its operational status, Ralph Tyler is surrendering his license.
In a consent decree between Tyler and the Enforcement Bureau, Tyler admits he lied to the commission orally and in written filings and agrees to surrender his license and let the station go dark. He has agreed to divest his other broadcast interests in Chickasa, Okla., stations KWCO(FM) and KOCY(AM).
