Pam Oakes’ ‘Car Care for the Clueless’ Goes National

CBS Radio adds national syndication to call-in radio program

Car Care for the Clueless, a live call-in show, can now be heard on select CBS Radio The Sky programming channels — WYCD(HD3) in Detroit; WMBX(HD3) in Boston; KMPS(HD3) in Seattle; and WDSY(HD3) and WZPT(HD3), which are both based in Pittsburgh, Pa.

The program will air Fridays from 5–6 p.m. ET and is hosted by Pam Oakes, who is touted as a “national car care authority, ASE-certified technician and owner of Pam’s Motor City.” She will talk about car care, maintenance tips and strategies for keeping your vehicle in optimal shape. The show’s format will also allow callers to pose questions.

Oakes is a fourth-generation automotive technician, ASE-certified since 1995, the same year she opened Pam’s Motor City Automotive as the owner and only employee. The same shop has grown to over 10 employees.

Her brand also includes businesswoman, host of car care clinics and car care education author. Oakes has written “Car Care for the Clueless: Or How You Can ‘Make Money’ While Maintaining Your Vehicle” and “Car Care for the Clueless: Successful Used Car Buying 101.”
