Jeff Williams is taking his four decades in the radio industry to the Telos Alliance

The audio company named Williams its director of sales for the western U.S., where he will support its customers and partners.

Williams has a wealth of programming, leadership and engineering experience under his belt, along with a family history in broadcast and professional audio.

His parents, Jack and Ellyn, founded Pacific Records & Engineering in 1969. Williams began his own broadcasting career at 16, working with the legendary “Shotgun” Tom Kelly. His path continued with roles at KFMB(FM) in San Diego and WRKO(AM) in Boston, followed by leadership positions with Gannett, Jacor, Clear Channel and Knight Broadcasting.

Based in Santa Barbara County, Calif., Williams has been owner and GM of Yellowtec USA since 2015.

Williams told Radio World he is no longer part of Yellowtec. The company is asking its existing dealer network to continue business as usual with customers. Yellowtec USA technical support is offered by Greg Dahl at Second Opinion Communications.

A Telos Alliance release said that Williams’ background in programming and operations results in an understanding of both the company’s business goals and the “engineering details that our clients care about.”
