Philly Station Plans Hoagie Launch

Philly Station Plans Hoagie Launch

And here’s our favorite press release of the week, which arrives from Clear Channel station WIOQ(FM) in Philadelphia. It comes after news that the Eagles football team will prohibit ticket holders from bringing food into the new Lincoln Financial Field on game days:
“Q102’s ‘The Chio in the Morning Show’ is ‘shocked and outraged’ about a fan ban on bringing in food at the new Lincoln Financial Field,” the station release stated. “In the spirit of the opening of the new Constitution Center and in celebration of that all-important freedom of speech, Q102’s Diego is asking listeners to ‘Launch at the Linc.’
“Diego is inviting concerned fans to join him and others demonstrating for the right to munch freely by bringing a hoagie to the 11th Street entrance of the Lincoln Financial Field at 8 a.m. on Friday July 19 (sic – Friday is the 18th). At that time the protestors will launch their edible projectiles at the Linc to show their support for lifting the ban on bringing in food.”
