Pioneer AppRadioLIVE Aggregates Content

New app eliminates need to open multiple windows on UI

Pioneer Electronics has released a new app for users of its AppRadio and AppRadio Mode in-dash receivers.

AppRadioLIVE aggregates content from popular music, events, traffic, weather and news sources through a new interactive user interface to provide seamless access to personalized information while in the vehicle.

The AppRadioLIVE app is available for the latest iPhone devices and is compatible with all current and past Pioneer AppRadio products as well as 2013 and 2014 audio video and navigation receiver models featuring AppRadio Mode.

Pioneer says it developed the new app with customer feedback. Pioneer VP Marketing for its Car Electronics Division Ted Cardenas says the app aggregates content into a single, intuitive new user interface, eliminating the need to open different apps individually to access content.

The app is compatible with iPhone models 4, 4s, 5, 5c and 5s. With the app running on a compatible iPhone connected to an AppRadio or AppRadio Mode in-dash receiver, users have access to various third-party services on the Pioneer touchscreen.

The home screen of AppRadioLIVE provides an interactive interface divided into quadrants consisting of maps, music, news information, and calendar events. By selecting one of the quadrants, the driver can bring the necessary information into focus with a full-screen view.
