Powell: ‘Do Not Call’ List Will Happen

FCC Chairman Michael Powell defended the ‘Do Not Call’ list, and said despite the court decision to block the list from going into effect, the commission would work with the courts, the Federal Trade Commission and Congress to ensure the list goes into effect. He said the list “is the appropriate mechanism” to make sure consumers do not receive unwanted telemarketing calls.
