Preco Broadcast is marketing the BM-A2-E8SHD, a new Dolby E/AC3 monitor from Bel Digital.
The 2 rackunit BM-A2-E8SHD can monitor discrete embedded HD/SD multichannel audio, as well as decode Dolby E/Dolby Digital sources.
Bletchley, England-based Bel Digital designed the new monitoring device in cooperation with Dolby Laboratories and key customers. The BM-A2-E8SHD accepts two SDI and two AES sources — balanced and unbalanced.
Eight demuxed audio channels, selectable directly from front-panel rotary controls, facilitate operation. Additionally, two active loop-through outputs are available for the SDI inputs. An integrated system enables the mixing of any demuxed audio channel on either or both speakers while maintaining a constant output level. The BM-A2-E8SHD also includes a Dolby decoder as standard.
