German public-service broadcaster Südwestrundfunk (SWR) is using a PROFline satellite distribution network to feed its FM radio network.
PROFline is a wholly owned subsidiary of International Datacasting (IDC).
Under the contract, PROFline will provide SWR with an end-to-end system, including SFD-IP Rebroadcast receivers and DMM-IP digital stereo encoders. Both products provide technology in accordance with German standards and have been adapted to the broadcasters’ specific needs.
