PRSS Plans Big Presence at NFCB Event

Community Radio Conference to be held in San Francisco in June

Representatives from the Public Radio Satellite System plan a big presence at the Community Radio Conference in June.

The National Federation of Community Broadcasters plans the June 1–4 confab in San Francisco at the Parc 55 Hotel.

PRSS events include a panel discussion, PRSS-sponsored reception, client meetings and product demonstrations.

Director of Client Services Darlene Holmes will lead a panel discussion on June 2, beginning at 4 p.m. about being a PRSS-interconnected station. Attendees will learn about new equipment being provided to satellite interconnected stations as part of the PRSS Forward initiative. The panel also will provide details on the new ContentDepot messaging system.

Panelists include Shyanne Beatty from Koahnic Broadcasting, Norman Stockwell from WORT(FM), Madison, Wis., Keith Wilson from the PRSS Help Desk and Burt Poley from Native Voice One.

The PRSS Account Management team will staff a booth in the exhibit area to meet with producers and station staff. At the booth, representatives will answer questions and provide demonstrations of ContentDepot and other PRSS services. A demo of the PRSS Public Radio Resource Guide will also be on display.
