Beasley Broadcast Group said for the quarter ending June 30, its consolidated net revenue rose 0.5% to $28.5 million compared to the same period of 2002. Operating income from continuing operations was $7.1 million, a drop of 5.7%, while station operating income was down 4.3% to $9.4 million.
Beasley reported net income of $6.4 million, or 26 cents per diluted share, for the first six months of 2003, compared to a net loss of $8.4 million, or 34 cents per diluted share, last year.
For the entire first half of the year, consolidated net revenue fell 0.4% to $53 million. Operating income from continuing operations was down to $11.7 million, compared to $12.3 million last year. On a same-station basis for the first six months of 2003, consolidated net revenue declined 0.1% to $53 million. SOI on a same-station basis decreased 1.9% to $16.3 million.
