The Radio Advertising Bureau has named radio sales and training executive Jeff Schmidt as senior vice president of professional development.
Reporting to President and CEO Erica Farber, he will oversee the organization’s training services and work with the leadership to provide a professional development focused on digital, solution-based marketing and sales efforts.
“The Radio Advertising Bureau is an iconic organization whose resources have impacted hundreds of thousands of broadcast sellers, including me. I’m honored to work with Erica and the RAB Team to continue to provide excellence in education, tools and development for your members,” said Schmidt.
Schmidt most recently served as executive vice president/partner at sales training and sales management development company Sparque. Throughout his 26-year career, he has served in various sales roles and organizations in radio sales and on the ground selling, including positions with Cumulus Broadcasting, Mid-West Family Broadcasting and Hearst Corp.
The Radio Advertising Bureau serves more than 6,000 member radio stations in the U.S. and more than 1,000 member networks, representative firms, broadcast vendors and international organizations.
