RAB, Media Monitors Present Free Training Workshops

The Radio Advertising Bureau will offer a free sales training workshop, “Breaking the Daily Habit: Winning New Radio Dollars From Print,” in Kansas City on May 18. The session is sponsored by Media Monitors and is part of an free nationwide training series that began last year.
Lynn Anderson, RAB senior vice president of training, conducts the session on how to position radio’s strengths against newspapers and what RAB sees as the inequity between newspapers’ dwindling circulation and their share of local ad budgets.
The event will be preceded by a one-hour training session on teaching managers the best ways to instruct their salespeople on how to sell against print. That session is free to the first 50 radio station managers and AEs in the area to register.
