This fall, the newest members of a club reserved for radio royalty will be inducted.
The Museum of Broadcast Communications announced the selection of eight new members into the Radio Hall of Fame for 2026, and they’ll be honored at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Oct. 8 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.
This year’s inductees are:
- Boomer Esiason, WFAN(AM/FM), New York City
- Dennis Green, COO of Sun & Fun/Key Networks
- Shotgun Tom Kelly, SiriusXM’s ’60s on 6
- Helen Little, WLTW(FM), New York City
- Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO, iHeartMedia
- Rickey Smiley, Urban One/Reach Media
- Charlie Van Dyke
- Fred Winston
Six inductees were determined by a voting panel of approximately 950 industry professionals. Two other inductees were voted on by the organization’s nominating committee.
“Each of these inductees has performed at the highest levels for a sustained period of time to make our industry that much more impactful to listeners and advertisers as a result,” Kraig Kitchin, co-chair of the Radio Hall of Fame, said in a release.
The Radio Hall of Fame honors notable radio personalities and showcases their accomplishments at the Chicago-based Museum of Broadcast Communications. Each year, 24 nominations are determined by its nominating committee, which is composed of industry leaders.
A voting panel of industry members is invited to cast votes to determine the inductees recognized annually.
