Radio One Anniversary to Conclude With Party

Radio One Inc. will complete its 25th anniversary with an awards gala Aug. 17 in Washington.
On-air personalities Ananda Lewis, J. Anthony Brown, Tom Joyner and Russ Parr will host the black-tie event.
The Awards Gala is the finale of a year-long celebration for the corporation. It is the seventh-largest radio broadcast company by revenue, according to BIAfn rankings; it now has 71 radio stations in 22 urban markets including Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Detroit and Washington.
The first event will be the Russ Parr Bus Tour Grand Finale held during the day at the Lincoln Theater on Aug. 17. The gala and dinner are followed the next morning with a live broadcast of the Joyner from Constitution Hall.
