What do pro sports athletes do when it’s time to retire? More and more go into some form of broadcasting.

The Radio Show recognizes this trend with a Super Session, “

Jocks on Jocks

,” Sept. 19, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Moderated by CBS Sports Radio host Jim Rome, the session includes three former athletes who now have their own radio shows. They played the game and now they talk about the game (and lots of other things as well).

Joining Rome will be: former New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Bobby Hebert, now co-host of “SportsTalk with Bobby Hebert and Deke Bellavia,” WWL(AM), New Orleans; former pro basketball player Tom Tolbert, host of “The Mr. T Show,” KNBR(AM), San Francisco; former New York Giants receiver Amani Toomer, co-host of “Amani and Eytan,” NBC Sports Radio.

As any sports broadcast fan knows, when athletes are miked, they can say anything.
