For the fourth year in a row, Milan will play host to radio broadcasters from around the world that have come together to share how radio is produced across the globe. RadioCity 2018 is a three-day festival that brings radio shows, DJs and hosts to a single location where they will produce and distribute their show from in front of an international audience.
Studios will be set up in the “Village of Radios” in Sempione Park, where all the tech equipment and connections will be provided to broadcast to broadcasters normal audiences on their normal schedule. The festival is free to join and technicians will also be available to assist with production.
In addition to the “Village of Radios,” the three-day event will offer a number of other activities and programs. A traditional conference schedule will take place at the Sforzesco Castle with sessions to highlight international radio and train professionals.
There will also be looks at the future of radio, including DAB; broadcasters can also distribute their shows in DAB if they choose via a special pop-up DAB channel, aired nationwide. Live music and other entertainment will also take place during the festival.
