Rapalee Is Named DOE for Entercom Sacramento

Veteran engineer is cited for IT and broadcast experience.

(click thumbnail)Rick RapaleeEntercom Communications promoted Rick Rapalee to director of engineering for the company’s six radio stations in Sacramento, Calif. He replaces Mick Rush.

A 12-year Entercom veteran, Rapalee has served in various capacities as engineer and chief engineer. Earlier he spent four years in the U.S. Air Force in satellite communications.

The company said he has “substantial experience in all facets of broadcast engineering, having built — and maintained — transmitter and tower sites, as well as broadcast studios.”

The announcement was made by Entercom Sacramento Vice President/Market Manager John Geary, who stated that Rapalee has “the extensive IT knowledge that is so critical to our industry in this digital age, as well as years of broadcast engineering experience.”

He’ll oversee AM outlet KCTC as well as FMs KDND, KRXQ, KSEG, KSSJ and KWOD.
