Monday Feb. 1 is “Broadcasters for Haiti Day.”
The National Association of Broadcasters has asked radio and TV stations to “roadblock” specific times of day, dedicating airtime to fundraising efforts, phone banks and radiothons and telethons.
Stations can access campaign elements including PSA scripts and downloads to support American Red Cross efforts; there are radio and TV downloads of various lengths, including radio spots in Spanish.

The National Religious Broadcasters issued a message of support of the “day.” It set up a mobile giving campaign in which listeners can make a $10 donation to relief efforts by texting the word “HAITI” to 40579.
