RFS Furthers Indian CTI Role

Since its initial involvement in stage one of the Common Transmission Infrastructure (CTI) project, RFS has delivered a total of 37 fully engineered FM RF broadcast systems.

Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has been tapped by Delhi-based project consultant Broadcast Engineering Consultant India Ltd (BECIL) to provide turnkey RF solutions for Hyderabad and Jaipur, as well as RF broadcast components for four other sites, as part of stage two of an upgrade of FM broadcasting capabilities across India.

Since its initial involvement in stage one of the Common Transmission Infrastructure (CTI) project, RFS has delivered a total of 37 fully engineered FM RF broadcast systems.

“RFS has supplied RF solutions to nearly half of the completed CTI broadcast sites,” said Hans-Peter Quade, RFS Systems engineering and area product manager for broadcast antenna systems and HF.

Scheduled for completion by the end of 2008, the three-stage CTI project incorporates numerous shared FM radio broadcast infrastructure, supporting 240 stations in 86 cities.
