The Radio and Television News Directors Foundation said it has received a grant to conduct regional training workshops for radio, TV and online journalists.
It’s $150,000 from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The training program is an 18-month pilot that involves day-long workshops for managing editors, assistant news directors and other midlevel managers.
RTNDF plans to work with the Associated Press Managing Editors, which conducts a similar program for print journalists.
