Sage has released an update to its most recent firmware for its Digital ENDEC model 3644.
The issue only applies to its U.S. users.
In its Aug. 27 Rev96-1 firmware release, Sage found that character generators and LED signs may display alerts in the “severe” color, regardless of the type of alert.
The Sept. 3 Rev96-1-P1 firmware update corrects this error. It includes all of the updated benefits from the original release, which adds support to receive and relay Missing and Endangered Persons event codes.
Sage updated its download page to include the corrected version of the Rev96 release. It is safe for users who have already installed the first Rev96-1 version to install the update on top of it.
For users who downloaded the Rev96-1 release but have not installed it, Sage said to simply download and install the new, corrected version.
“All of the instructions and other information regarding Rev96-1 still apply,” Sage said.
Both the original update and the corrected version are free for users to install. The update itself is optional, but Sage recommends its installation.
